Quand on voit la liste des morts et des attaques contre les troupes en Afghanistan on voit très bien que l’essentiel de la lutte menée par les Talibans ce sont des bombes, portées ou non par des kamikazes. On voit aussi que les troupes alliées ont décidé de s’attaquer fermement à la récolte d’opium de cette année pour la détruire. Certains en Chine et en Russie s’inquiètent d’un redéploiement en cours d’Al Qaida dans ces pays, à la suite des avancées irrésistibles des troupes alliées dans les zones du sud de l’Afghanistan que les Talibans avaient réussi à contrôler en utilisant la population civile locale.
